Whitney is artistic, not afraid of color, and a little feisty. From the minute we spoke and she shared her ideas for her wedding, I knew she’d be a great fit! Whitney had a dress custom designed with fringe that was so flirty and playful and had great movement on the dance floor and her gorgeous rings were custom designed and hand crafted in Paris. Her choice of colorful and bright florals in an array of textures and hues was right up my alley. But more than anything, I love the choices she and Matt made for their wedding according to what was important and meaningful to them. A lot of their choices were based around their love for travel and remembering many of the amazing places they have spent time together. One tradition they incorporated from their travels was a second line after the ceremony leading the guests over to cocktail hour (a New Orleans tradition). It was a fun surprise for their guests and everyone in attendance quickly caught on and followed the band to cocktail hour while dancing and waving their vintage handkerchiefs above their heads in celebration. They also served paella (and lots of wine!) at their family style dinner reception and ended the night with a very spirited Hora Loca on the dance floor. The air was so thick with celebration that day for Whitney and Matt that no one could help but get swept up in it and I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to be a part of it and document the beautiful start of their journey as husband and wife.
